| Property
taxes are at an all-time high and have increased by 7% or
more in each of the last two years which greatly exceeds
the rate of inflation. In addition, the state is facing
a projected $4.5 billion budget deficit. This panel attempts
to slog through the mire of political rhetoric, and emerge
with short and long-term tangible and achievable goals for
lowering the state's property tax structure and most importantly,
translate what it all means to the average person.
