| On this Enterprising
Women special, we look at women in transition in the workforce
and what it takes to overcome the challenges and obstacles
they face. Women in transition include those entering,
reentering or advancing in the workplace. Through job
preparation counseling, one-on-one assessments of skills
and interests, and connecting women to training and education
programs, millions of women have successfully made the
transition and their stories could prove inspirational
to other women who are currently struggling. Women of
diverse backgrounds can also learn more about resources
available to help launch their careers or break through
barriers they had previously experienced in the workplace.
Additionally, the concept and importance of networking,
and the ability to market oneself in this highly competitive
work environment will also be explored.
