| The Future of New Jersey’s Cities, is a multi-part Caucus series that looks at urban revitalization in New Jersey. Asbury Park is in the midst of a tremendous redevelopment effort, one that includes all areas of the City. This half-hour program will highlight the city’s plans for revitalizing the waterfront area, the creation of an urban enterprise zone, the rejuvenated downtown district, the building of both new luxury and affordable housing units, and a discussion of the diversity of the City – and how this new influx of business and community impacts those who have lived in the community their entire lives. The history of Asbury in its heyday, its fall and subsequent decay, and the renaissance that is now underway will be considered.
