| During their
lives, older adults have a right to sexuality education,
sexual health care, and opportunities for sexual expression.
On this half-hour installment, we explore the often-overlooked
topic of Aging Human Sexuality. And while aging brings dramatic
physical changes, an individual’s sexuality is an
integral part of their overall health. A panel including
an urologist, gynecologist, sex therapist, and sexuality
educator will consider the sexual expectations of today’s
seniors. A decline in sexual interest as part of the aging
process is normal for both sexes. These experts will discuss
the physical realities of aging that impact performance
and the effectiveness of medications currently available.
Additionally, the panel will address the importance of intimacy
as we age, and how relationships can offer much more than
just sexual activity.
