by UMDNJ, “Myths and Realities” is a three-part
Caucus series looking at the many questions surrounding
Multiple Sclerosis. On this program entitled “Women,
Men and MS,” we look at how MS affects the genders
differently and talk with women and men about their varying
experiences with the disease. For women, we look at the
role hormones play on contracting the disease, the effect
pregnancy has on the course of the disease and the risk
of relapse, the risk that children of mothers with MS may
develop the disease and menopause and MS. We’ll also
discuss the latest in research and treatment of MS.
