Stopping the Cycle of Violence
Show #2178
Original Airdate: 1/3/09

Description

This half-hour panel examines the underlying causes of our culture of violence, and discusses programs and services that are working to eradicate the problem. Violence in the United States is a public health issue. The panel explores violence in the schools, the home, and on the street. It looks at the financial cost to society, as well as the moral consequences of living in a world where life means nothing. Prisoner reentry programming and its attempts to stop the cycle of violence, especially in this difficult economic climate are considered.
