Join four-time Emmy Award-winning host Steve Adubato for
a half-hour "Caucus Up Close" special looking
at strategies for providing New Jersey's children with the
best education possible. Recent studies show that the quality
of teachers in the classroom is 20 times more important
than any other factor, including facilities, educational
technology, or student socio-economic levels. Currently,
New Jersey has the one of the fewest number of National
Board Certified teachers - an issue that has united and
mobilized New Jersey's education and business communities.
In this "Caucus Up Close" special we bring together
key players in the effort to encourage National Board Certification,
which is one model for improving the quality of teaching
our teaching force. We also discuss other efforts underway
and under consideration to address the need for more and
better teachers.
